Tansy also boasts the 100% blue list line from her mother with the added bonus of coming from a long line of queens that produce huge quality kittens in large litters, Her sire is Dixie pixie's Peyote, from the famous Dixie pixie cattery, this bloodline is prized and coveted by pixiebob breeders. Tansy,s first litter consist of four male and one female that I am delighted with. The huge red Rufus and wonderfully marked male will be retained as will the only female. The equally large but slightly more silver male will be going to Salvarda pixiebob cattery in the UK.
Lauren's thoughts about Tansy's mother, Brodiaea.
"Brodiaea is an incredibly beautiful cat, and has the best of all of those elusive Pixie-Bob traits. She is intensely rufoused (bobcat) red, and has true random spotting just like her mother. She has a very wild face with long lynx tips on her ears. She is a very active cat, who is an intrepid hunter, no bug ever escapes from Brodie in our house. She 'talks' incessantly in chirps and chitters and is always on the prowl in search of a new adventure. Brodiaea has huge litters of equally huge kitten."
Lauren's thoughts about Brodiaea's mother, Briavemew.
"Rocky Falls Briavemew of NW Heritage is an unique and special lady. She is a Blue List 02T, and is a classic example of the Original Pacific Northwest PixieBob. Bria has a very plush coat with true random spotting and beautiful, deep rufous-red undertones. Fortunately for us, she passes this unusual coat type onto her offspring, along with her wild face and Bobcat like conformations."
"Bria is an excellent mother, and produces large litters. There were 9 kittens in her first litter, and she successfully raised all of them! She keeps her kittens meticulously clean and well fed, nursing and caring for them long beyond the usual age for weaning. Her kittens consistently have loving, outgoing purr-sonalities in complete contrast to their wild look and eye-catching appearance."
All these things could be me writing about Tansy she seems to takes after her mother and her grandmother in all these ways, plus her sire Dixie pixie Peyote is one of only three siblings left from the late Sue Jordens favoured lines I am told. These lines are considered to be the best producers of the strong bobcat appearance along side that of Carol Brewers the founder of the breed. I feel very fortunate to have this wonderful girl who loves to ride around on my shoulders rubbing her head on mine chirping away,knowing nothing of this and feeling no burden of her history, she is loving to people as well as to her kittens playing and caring for them far past when others would have weaned their kittens.
